About Mike

About me:

I've been married to Bernadette for 22 years. I have 2 children, Gemma and Georgia. I'm sports mad, I play golf, I love football, rugby and motor racing. I've been known to tread the boards in amateur dramatics, last show I performed in was 'Oliver.' I'm proud to be a Yorkshireman. I enjoy hot weather and the great outdoors. I regularly visit family in Savannah, USA.

What is your business motto?

"Success isn't just about what you accomplish in your life; it's about what you inspire others to do."

What is the best quality of TCH Leasing, and how is it different to other Leasing companies?

Approachability. We have an open and friendly approach from the office staff to MD. We understand the importance of delivering excellent customer service, have the desire to look after our customers and enjoy the success it brings.

What is your approach to work/life balance?

Work hard, play harder.

What is your approach to networking?

It’s an opportunity to meet new people, explore new opportunities and expand your knowledge.

Who has inspired you most in your business life, and why?

Nick Carroll – MD Carroll Cleaning Co. He ran a successful family business. He is forward-thinking, creative,  and had a can-do attitude. He was 100% work focussed when at work and 100% home focussed when at home. He has buckets full of common sense, he tells you how it is, and is the perfect person when “Ctrl-Alt-Delete” is required.

What is your proudest achievement in business?

Building a customer base from scratch for my own business.

What motivates you?

Making a difference.

If you hadn’t got into the leasing business, what would you be doing instead?

Motor Vehicle Technician.

What time of day are you at your best, and why?

Mid-afternoon to late at night. I'm not a morning person.

If you could have a coffee with anyone at all, who would you pick and any?

Frank Sinatra. Just to be seen sat in Costa with such an icon, how cool would that be?

How do you wind down after work?

Cold beer, shorts and tee-shirt, family time.
