The Department for Transport have released data to show sales of ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEVs) by region.
The data shows that Birmingham had the highest number of registered ULEVs at the closing quarter of 2017. The top 10 local authorities with the highest number of ULEVs by the end of last year were:

With 12,247, Birmingham has almost triple the number of ULEVs as third place Slough (4,460) and Peterborough has double at 8,910 ULEVs.
Last year, 53,203 ULEVs were registered in the UK, which is up 27% on 2016’s figures of 41,837, which is positive in the uptake of electric vehicles. The most commonly registered ULEVs in 2017 were Mitsubishi Outlander, BMW 3 Series and Nissan Leaf.
