About Emma

About me:

I have been with TCH leasing for 10 years, I started off in the business processing department, this role involved ordering vehicles, arranging deliveries and sorting out any issues raised during the order time of the vehicle. At the start of 2017, TCH Leasing launched a new service we offer out to customers called Outsourcing. I have been heading up this department from the start. This involves licence checks, grey fleet management and fleet management - this role is very varied.

What is your business motto?

I believe we should all work as a team, as by doing this, this will offer the customers the best service we can give.

What is the best quality of TCH Leasing, and how is it different to other Leasing companies?

As we are a small leasing company, we can offer our customers a personal approach and offer solutions to suit their fleet needs. All office staff are based in Sheffield and we are not a call centre! This also helps with personal service. Each customer has their own account manager who will hold regular review meetings with them, this may not happen with the bigger leasing companies.

What is your approach to work/life balance?

While at work, work your hardest you can - things may get tough but working as a team you can get through it. When at home I try to switch off from work and have some family time.

What is your approach to networking?

I post industry-related articles on LinkedIn, assisting account managers with meetings regarding outsourcing, and I exhibit at industry events.

Who has inspired you most in your business life, and why?

Nicola Gerwirtz is the founder of Lola Rose Jewellery, she started the company back in 2000 when she was at a crossroads in her life. She began a quest to create a range of jewellery that was affordable, easy to wear and make you feel special when wearing it. She has been awarded an MBE for services to jewellery design. Lola Rose is stocked in many departments store across the UK and is also sold in the USA. She has inspired me that no matter what stage of life you are at, you can change your life for the better and proves that hard work does pay off.

What is your proudest achievement in business?

Helping to set up the outsourcing department.

If you hadn’t got into the leasing business, what would you be doing instead?

Food, as I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes.

What time of day are you at your best, and why?

In the morning - I am a morning person.

If you could have a coffee with anyone at all, who would you pick and any?

I would pick the Queen just to have a chit chat with her to see what she is like.

How do you wind down after work?

Spending time with family and friends, going out for walks and having weekends away.
