About Jennifer

About me:

I like to think of myself as a very conscientious person when it comes to my working life. I’m very fortunate in that I can say that I love my job and coming to work each day is enjoyable and allows me to constantly learn, grow and develop my skills. I recently completed a diploma with the Open University, something which I had wanted to achieve since having to leave university the first time around through ill health. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and we both love football, particularly Barnsley Football Club where we both have season tickets. It’s always important to have a work/life balance.

What is your business motto?

There’s no “I” in team.

What is the best quality of TCH Leasing, and how is it different to other Leasing companies?

We work in a very supportive and friendly environment which enables us to provide a very high service level to our customers.

What is your approach to work/life balance?

Work keeps me focused and motivated in life, but it is always important for me to enjoy time with my daughter away from the office.

What is your approach to networking?

It is always good to meet industry colleagues to find out about new innovations or ways of working. LinkedIn is a good tool but attending events or meetings is always useful when time allows.

Who has inspired you most in your business life, and why?

I take constant inspiration from my peers and colleagues. Working together as a team is crucial and allows me to learn and take knowledge from those around me.

What is your proudest achievement in business?

My personal development since we implemented a new internal software system.

What motivates you?

I have a personal motivation to achieve goals in my life after years living with a chronic illness; I feel like I missed out on opportunities and now I want to make the most of every day.

If you hadn’t got into the leasing business, what would you be doing instead?

I would be a primary school teacher.

What time of day are you at your best, and why?

In the morning when my mind is fresh!

If you could have a coffee with anyone at all, who would you pick and any?

I’d love to meet Stephen Fry; his wisdom is infinitely fascinating.

How do you wind down after work?

I spend time with my daughter, we both love going to the gym and watching football together.
